Today, bathrooms are no longer just places to shower, wash your hands or freshen up. Today, bathrooms are high-quality experience spaces and oases of well-being. Value is placed on good products with perfect surfaces. Function and control of cold and warm water are in demand, the right amount of water and intensity of the water jet are required.

The award-winning cast part is a panel for a 4-use sanitary shower system that leaves nothing to be desired. The technical implementation as a zinc die-cast part also involves many challenges. Above all, however, the flatness and straightness of the component is impressive, with a length of 611 mm. The premium product offers an excellent appearance, which requires compliance with the tightest tolerances during the casting process. This dimensional accuracy is also a prerequisite for further mechanical processing in order to be able to accommodate the operating elements of the concealed fitting. The manufacture of the product using die-cast zinc enables it to be produced with both a chrome-plated surface and a colored coating. In addition to the manufacture of a flat component, the variation of the shower panel with two or three functions is another special challenge. To do this, the basic tool for the casting is equipped with the appropriate inserts.

The jury describes the panel of the shower set as a “masterpiece of surface casting.”
