ima10The 3-piece bayonet XT-A is assembled into a circular piece and provided with a cover plate. The part is designed so that it connects with an inlay heatsink, necessary due to the heat generated by the installed LED (60-80°C). The casting challenge is to achieve a defect-free filling of the cavities, especially in the thinner sections. The required finishing operation was a tumble polishing (Trowal). The part has a weight of 412g and a size of 170 x 80 x 70 mm. The total weight of the casting is 1630g. The tool was completed in the in-house tool shop in 3 weeks.
